About

Michaela writes for the watcher. Her work explores belonging, grief, mis/communication, and social injustice. Originally from NYC, she now resides in Oxford, UK and is an active member of the Oxford Writing Circle.

Her writing has been published in The Talon Review, Pink Disco Magazine, Cassandra Voices, The Oxford Review of Books and many others. She was shortlisted for the 2019 Benjamin Franklin House Literary Prize, and won first prize for Tales for the Ones in Love's Nature 2020-21 contest. Most recently, she was listed in the top 5 finalists for the 2024 Rockvale Writers First 10 Pages Fellowship. Check out Published Works for the complete list.

When not writing, she spends her time figure skating and educating everyone she meets about Pink Floyd. Her 145-slide presentation on the band's history has not been accepted for publication (yet).
